How does Tattoo Removal Work?
Laser tattoo removal works by using a highly concentrated light beam to break up the pigment colors in the tattoo ink. The laser light is absorbed by the pigment and then broken into tiny particles that are small enough for your body to absorb them. As the ink particles are absorbed, they gradually fade away over time, leaving your skin free of any unwanted tattoos.
What goes on during a Tattoo Removal session?
During each treatment session, your laser technician will pass a hand-held laser device over your skin in order to break up the pigment particles within the tattoo ink. Depending on the size and complexity of your tattoo, each session can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour or more.
Before your session, we will ensure you are comfortable and ready for the process. Mild discomfort can be expected however, we will check in with you throughout to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible.
What to expect after Tattoo Removal?
After each session, you should avoid direct sunlight until your skin has healed completely and apply moisturizer frequently during this healing process in order to keep your skin hydrated and healthy looking.
